Creepy Campfire Quarterly, published by EMP Publishing, is the brain child of Jennifer Word--a terrific editor and talented writer.  And not surprisingly, the collection does not disappoint.

I just got my copy the other day, and this is a terrific anthology full of eclectic, entertaining horror stories.

Belated follow up on Lost Luggage

Readers:

Just a quick note to inform that my short story, Lost Luggage, was published as the feature story of February 2016 by Anotherealm -- a publication that focuses on speculative fiction in the horror, sci fi, and fantasy genres.

Being published by Anotherealm is a prestigious honor, as only one story is selected to be published every month.  I'm quite pleased that this quirky story found a home at such a perfect match of a publication venue.

Here's what the Anotherealm editors had to say about my short story:

I don't fly any more. I flew a lot when I was younger and was terrified each time. A white-knuckle passenger, I several times shuddered my way through a flight from Kennedy to Dhahran (13 hours non-stop). That one is no longer flown, but that's why this story struck me as horrifying. It's a dark, modern nightmare to warm you these cold February nights. No. Don't thank me. New year brings another publication

I'm pleased to report that the year has started off with a bang, as I just got word that my short story, Lost Luggage, has been selected to appear in Anotherealm's 2016 lineup.

Anotherealm is a horror / sci fi / speculative fiction publication that features one short story every month.  My short story will be published next month [February 2016].

Lost Luggage is a story about a woman on-board a trans-Pacific flight with her family who awakens to discover that her son is no longer on the plane.  A genre-bending weird tale, I'm pleased that this quirky story landed with a great publisher like Anotherealm.

I'm pleased to announce that my short story, Unsafe, has been accepted to appear in the second volume of the Creepy Campfire Quarterly second anthology series, brought to market by EMP Publishing. 

Unsafe is a story about a five year old girl whose abusive daily home life pales in comparison to the torment she 's subjected to nightly by the terrifying supernatural entity haunting her closet.

Issue #12 features my flash fiction story, Irreconcilable Differences-- a story about a couple with a dissolving marriage having their last ditch attempt at reconciliation interrupted by an interloping mugger.
